….who’s going to answer? Well, we have had a powerful amount of rain around here this past week and after yesterday, it was just too much for the North Fork of the Shenandoah, Passage Creek and any other little tributary to handle. Most are out of their banks and washing the sediment down stream to the Chesapeake Bay. So, for those of us who live on the river or have property on the river, it is very important to maintain the Riparian Buffer of the trees, shrubs, plants, perennials, etc on the banks of the rivers. It is what keeps the sediment from washing down river, it is the roots of the plants and trees that keep the river from completely washing away.
